The SEC beat up on the ACC this week, which means they draw closer to the Big 12, while the ACC falls dangerously close to being overtaken by a non-BCS conference. At this point in the season, no BCS conference has ever had so few points as the ACC. They raided the Big East, and yet they can’t out perform that crumbling conference. Now it appears that Maryland will be leaving for the Big 10. If I was the ACC, I think I’d be asking Swafford some questions. They raided the Big East for money, but now they can’t even hang on to their own teams.
Speaking of the Big East, Rutgers will be following Maryland to the Big 10. Most likely UConn will fall to the ACC, which will pretty much destroy what was once a very good conference. Perception, created by the media, was that the Big East was weak, but they have been one of the stronger conferences over the years. Now, however, the ACC pretty much destroyed them, but watch their teams as they enter their new leagues. I think you’ll find they represent well.
